Since 1984, Unique Wine Safaries has been importing wines from small, family-run vineyards in Abruzzo, Italy. Over the years Unique Wine Safaris has developed some lifelong friendships with some exceptional winemakers.
With a unique first-hand experience of Abruzzo and deep appreciation for the region and its wines, Unique Wine Safaris has created an truly original tour.
Abruzzo has been called a paradise on earth for its stunning natural beauty. Development is forbidden in its three National Parks, so the region retains a timeless quality—and its winemakers, many of whom you’ll meet in person, preserve the traditional skills of viticulture with a proud passion which they delight in passing on to their guests.
Sunning yourself in an idyllic vineyard, sampling the fruits of their labours, so lovingly and skilfully crafted, is an unforgettable experience
Our accommodation at the beautiful La Rustica is run by Armando and his charming wife, Cristina. All the delectable food you’ll sample there is made by them on the premises, using local produce.
